NSC Program Technical Advisor, Roadway Practice Area

Lauren Torres, RSP1, is a program technical advisor in the Roadway practice area at NSC. Lauren has more than 10 years of experience in transportation engineering and roadway safety. In her project manager roll working for Orange County government in Florida, she created and led the first safety team in the county that focused on proactive roadway safety projects that benefit all users. The team rendered local and state recognition under her leadership.

She also was involved in the implementation of the first Vison Zero policy at the county. She supported various projects for traffic engineering and traffic studies, and worked closely with the Florida Department of Transportation and local municipalities for ongoing projects.

Previously, Lauren held a leadership position in transportation engineering at the City of Orlando, managing operations and event management traffic control.

Lauren earned her bachelors in civil engineering from the University of Central Florida and her master in business administration from Strayer University.
